f.  W-UM District Convention!!  (Wisconsin-Upper Michigan) March 19-21.

This weekend represents the culmination of a year in Circle K.  It is a ton of fun and a great way to meet other                         Circle Kers.  The weekend involves games and fun, as well as some business.  The task of convention is to vote             for new district officers and to give out awards for the past year.

VI. On-going Business

            a.  Reading Buddies at Mendota Elementary

Missy volunteers as a reading buddy every Tuesday afternoon.  It is a lot of fun to read and do math with             the kids at Mendota Elementary School and only takes about an hour and a half round trip!  If you are             interested, contact Missy, or Rosario Vela at rvela@madison.k12.wi.us or 204-7858

            b.  After School Programs at Midvale Elementary

Midvale Elementary is looking for volunteers to help on Tues, Wed, or Thursday from 3-5 with their after school programs.  You would be working with K-2nd graders from now through mid May.  The school is located on the             bus line, so it shouldnt be too difficult to get there even if you dont have a car.  If you are interested, let Andrea             know.

            c.  Pop Tabs for Ronald McDonald House

We are still collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House; however, there has been an unfortunate             development.  All the tabs we have collected so far were stolen from the office!!  To make up for the stolen pop      tabs (which actually only had a $3.00 monetary value)  we have decided to donate $50 of the money we make                         from WYSO ushering to the Ronald McDonald House.  The motion was made by Monica and seconded by Kim            to donate all the WYSO money, the movement was then amended by Monica seconded by Alex Means to donate          only $50 of the WYSO money.  The club voted unanimously in favor of both the amendment and the movement.

            d.  Box Tops for Education

We have collected over 75 box tops so far which will be donated to Mendota Elementary School.  Kim Hancock          made a motion to donate them to Mendota and Katie Hipke seconded the motion.  The club voted unanimously in            favor of donating the tops to Mendota Elementary.

            e.  YWCA weekly events

We staff the resource room and have the opportunity to volunteer at other nightly events at the YWCA.  If you are       ever interested in volunteering there, contact Katy to find out what is available.

X.  Member Questions about events or anything?

Kelly Vis is running for Capital Division LTG and requested our clubs endorsement.  A club vote was taken, and it was decided that we would endorse her.  Good Luck with your campaign.
