Officers, Advisors, Guest Introduction, and Committee Chair report
A.
Treasurer Divjak announced that she is collecting money for the t-shirts. addivjak@wisc.edu
Secretary Johnson sent around service binder and attendance. mljohnson9@wisc.edu
Vice President Fitzgerald mkfitzgerald@wisc.edu
-Sent around a sign up for club t-shirts for $10. The money is due Feb 11 to Angela. Checks can be made out to UW Madison Circle K. The t-shirt design is off of an old circle k shirt from the early 90s. The club voted on whether they wanted black or white t-shirts and black won! Megan will check if they can make the screenprinting work out so we can have black t-shirts and a normal looking cow.
President Nesbit alnesbit@wisc.edu
-Andrea has membership cards and International Member Booklets. See her to get yours!
-We all sang Happy Birthday to Monica, Sarah, and Stan who all celebrated birthdays over the break.
-strong semester of service: we have 1322.35 service hours so far for the yearkeep up the good work! Our goal for the year was 2400, if we cant make that, we will at least try to make it to our total from last year, which was 1999.75 hours!
B. Kiwanis: Shelly and Stan were both in attendance. Kiwanis meetings are every Monday from 11:45-1 at First Methodist Church. Any club member is welcome to attend any of these meetings and get to know our great sponsoring Kiwanis Club!
III. Old Business
a. Holiday Embrace
This dinner and dance was held in Illinois over break. Stan went, and he had a great time!
b. Trip to Topeka, KS
Monica, Sarah, Katy, and Kelly took a road trip down to Topeka to visit Janet and reclaim out mascot. They had a good time, even though there is nothing to do in Kansas in the middle of winter, they made the best of it and went shopping.
IV. Current Business
a. Basketball Game Concessions
We need two volunteers to work at every home basketball game. If you are signed up for a game, please make sure you attend or contact someone to make sure there is a substitute. To sign up, contact Rose, rlcywinski@wisc.edu. There are a few games left that need people to attend, including Wed. Feb 4 and Sat. Feb. 14. If you are available to help at any of these, let Rose know. Also, there was a clarification made at the meeting. The money raised goes directly into our administrative account which is one of two accounts the club has. The other is a service account which is used to pay for service projects. Because the money we raise is going to administrative and will not be used in future service hours, the time at basketball games does not count as service hours. However, it does count as fundraising hours, so you can still put these in the binder to be counted. And remember, even though it isnt service, the help your help is still needed, so if you are available, the club appreciates your time!!

d. RSVP bilingual bookwork and Puppet show
RSVP is a group of retirees who put on puppet shows for elementary schoolers around the area. At the end of the show, they send a book home with each child. This group could use our help to make their books bilingual by putting stickers in them with the Spanish translation on them. Look for this activity at an upcoming meeting! Also, they could use volunteers to actually be in the puppet show. To do this you must make a 7 week commitment to a shift on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 8:45-11:15 or 12:15-2:45. If you are interested, email Andrea for information on who to contact.
