Welcome and Call to Order
President Nesbit called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance, Circle K Pledge and Motto were recited.

President Nesbit showed the club a few examples of t-shirts. More information about the club t-shirt and cost will come. She also passed around a couple photo albums with pictures from this semesters events. Two new members received their certificates from last weeks inductions. Finally, two copies of the this months Circle K magazine were passed around for the club to see. B. Kiwanis: Fred mentioned the scholarships available through Circle K. There will be an info session for those who are interested. If you want more information about the scholarships, email Andrea. There is info online at www.circlek.org
C. Three members who were included in the raffle didnt receive their prize yet. Nicole Schulist received here prize today!visit Andrea to get a cool Circle K logo prize!!
III. Old Business
a. Member Induction Ceremony and Social: Was on Wednesday, November 12 instead of a regular club meeting. After the awards ceremony at Union South, we went to Chuck E Cheese. Everyone who attended had a great time eating pizza and playing games. All together we collected 2815 tickets which were used to get prizes which were donated to the YWCA.
b. Middleton HS Key Club Meeting
A few people visited the key club meeting at Middleton High School on Friday, November 14th to promote Key to College. They arrived at the meeting too early so they went to McDonalds for breakfast and then came back to the meeting.
c. Key to College
Key to college was supposed to be this afternoon, however, no Key Clubbers attended. Thanks to Monica for putting the time and effort into planning this event. Hopefully there will be more interest in the future.
IV. Current Business
a. Salvation Army Bell Ringing
We have the opportunity to Ring Bells for the Salvation Army at Copps on University this Friday and Saturday, the 21st and 22nd. The shifts are for two people and are in two hour increments from 8am until 8pm. There are many times already filled, and also many that are still available. Refer to Katy Wheelers email for more details about the shifts that are still left. If you are interested in volunteering, but dont know how to get there, have no fear! The #2 bus runs right to the store! Contact Katy and wheeliegirl_84@hotmail.com to sign up.
b. Holiday Embrace 2004
The Holiday Embrace will be held in Gurnee, IL on Sat Jan 3, 2004. This is a fun dinner and dance put on by the Illinois-Easter Iowa District. There will be music, silent auction, a raffle and much more. The cost is $35 for dinner and dance or $20 for the dance. All proceeds support the Spastic Paralysis Research Foundation. If interested, you must register by Dec 2.
IV. New Business
a. Cookies for Wil-mar Community Center
It is that time againthe fourth weekend in the month, which means Wil-mar time! We will be baking cookies at Katy and Kellys apartment, 626 Langdon, Apt 305, at 4:30 on Friday, Nov. 21st. If you want to have some fun and do some baking, well see you there! (you might even get to do some taste testing!!)
b. Chippewa Division Rally
There are a lot of rallys going on around the division this month. The Chippewa Division will be having a rally in Eau Claire on Saturday from 12:30 until 3:30. Also, the Northwoods divison is having a rally in Menasha at 10. Finally, the Southeast Division has a rally in Waukesha which Monica is going to. If you need a ride, email her at masiebers@wisc.edu. If you want any information on any of these rallies, email Andrea.
c. Wil-mar Neighborhood Center Lunch
On Saturday, Nov. 22, we will be serving lunch and delicious cookies at Wil-mar with the Kiwanians. Emial Andrea if you are interested in going. The football game this weekend in at 2:30, so will be back in plenty of time for kick-off.
d. Basketball Game Concessions
We need two volunteers to work at every home basketball game. If you are signed up for a game, please make sure you attend or contact someone to make sure there is a substitute. To sign up, contact Rose, rlcywinski@wisc.edu. The next two games are Nov. 22 and Nov 24
e. UW-Parkside Circle K 4th Annual Den Party
Parksides annual party will be on Sat. Dec. 6th at 5 pm. For more information about this social event, contact Andrea.
f. Salvation Army Bell Ringing
In addition to the bell ringing dates this weekend, there is also an opportunity to ring bells at Copps on Sat Dec. 6 from 10-12, 12-2, or 2-4. Contact Andrea for more info.
g. Wisconsin Public Television Telethon
WPT needs help with the telethon on Sun, Dec 7th from 8:40 until 12:30. UW Eau Claire will be coming to volunteer with us and get their mascot back, which we won in the auction at MAC. There is free food at WPT and the club will be going out for dessert with UWEC afterwards.
h. ARMS Program volunteers
The Adult Role Models in Science program is looking for volunteers to help with science projects in local elementary school classrooms. For more information on t his program, consult the email that Andrea sent last week or contact her.
i Christmas for Kids
Christmas for Kids involves raises money to buy gifts for a family at the Salvation Army. The Heidemanns, a couple in the Kiwanis club, have donated $250 dollars to our club to buy the gifts. VI. Member Questions about events or anything?
YWCA is looking for volunteers on Thursday for Science is fun night, and Monday for movie night, email katy if interested
Monica announced a key club event that we could help volunteer at. They are babysitting at Middleton High School on Sun Dec. 17 from 9-4 so parents can get some x-mas shopping done. If you are interested in helping, email Monica for more info. The money they raise will be donated to Smile Train, which provides money for surgeries for children with Cleft Pallet.
VII. Happy Thoughts/Question of the Week
Money in the Happy Thoughts jar goes to the Tomorrow Fund.

There is no meeting next week due to Thanksgivingthe next meeting will be on Dec 3 in 1207 Computer Science and Statistics!
