IV.  Current Business

a.  Respite Camp Weekend

Megan passed around a flier about Camp Wawbeeks Respite Camp Weekend.  The camp needs volunteers for a number of weekends during the year.  The entire weekend counts as 50 service hours the first time you do it and anytime after that you receive $100!  It is a lot of fun to help out one on one with the campers.  Megan is going on the weekend from Oct 3 until the 5.  On Saturday the camp is holding its annual fall sprawl, a run/walk to benefit the camp, and the volunteers will get to take the campers on the walk.  If you are interested in more information, contact megan at mkfitzgerald@wisc.edu

b.  Homecoming Clean-up

There will be a campus clean-up starting at library mall on Friday, September 10 from 10:30 until 12.  If you are interested in helping out, email Katie Hipke at krhipke@wisc.edu or talk to her at next weeks meeting

MAC will be October 10-12 at Camp Wawbeek and the theme is Olympic Training.  The cost is $15 dollars.  On Friday night we will be playing mini golf in the dells.  On Saturday there will be a service project to close the camp for winter and then a few workshops.  Saturday night is the auction and the weekend wraps up on Sunday morning.  There will definitely be a car going home on Saturday for the big game, so dont let that stop you from attending this fun filled weekend!

A motion to bring $200 for the auction was presented by Sarah Winchowky and seconded by Monica Siebers.  The motion was passed

.  f.  Easter Seals Telethon

The easter seals telethon will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, October 26th.  They need 18 people to work the phone bank and you will be televised on FOX 47.  Dont worryeven though this is the same day as the division service project, you can still do both!!

New Business

.  a.  Little Things Month

October is Little Things Month.  You should have received an email from Andrea that lists the little thing that should be done for each day.  Otherwise, she will have copies at next weeks meeting.  For everyday that you complete the little thing, you receive 5 minutes of service.  So keep track of it and record all the fun little things you have done at the end of the month!
